Employee Of The Year 2018 Results Revealed!

The results are in....

Congratulations to our three winners...Mark Carr, Rob Earle and Amy Talbot!

This years prestigious Employee Of The Year award was once again split into three categories - Build, Fit-Out and Office. Nicest man alive, Mark Carr, took home the Fit-Out team award. Bespoke old timer, Rob Earle, romped home taking the crown on the Build team. And last but not least, our wonderful Management Accountant, Amy Talbot, completed the ceremony, taking home the Office team title!

As well as receiving the precious, money-can't-buy, engraved tankard, the trio will also enjoy a lavish evening at Old Trafford in the Bespoke corporate box!

Well done all!

And The New Heavyweight Champion Of the World....

After months of anticipation, training and raising money for Cancer Research UK, our very own Craig Blackhurst took to the ring for his White Collar Boxing bout.

The event took place at The Buttermarket in Shrewsbury and we are pleased to reveal that Craig 'Blunderbuss' Blackhurst stormed to victory with a first round Technical Knockout! Roared on by a huge following, Craig really went to town, with his opponent struggling to deal with the huge physical presence that stood before him.

Of course, Craig's main goal of this fight was to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK. Raising a whopping £1770 through ticket sales alone (he was the highest ticket seller of the night), alongside £510 through his JustGiving page, he raised a total of £2280. An unbelievable amount which goes to an outstanding charity.

A huge well done to Craig from everyone here at Bespoke!

He loved it so much he'll be doing it all over again next April!

Employee Of The Year 2016 Results Revealed!

It's the award that all of us at Bespoke crave - the prestigious Employee Of The Year Award.

Due to our continued expansion last year, we decided to split the 2016 title into three categories, where a member from our Fit-Out, Build and Office team would each take home the treasured tankard.

The first award of the night was for the Fit-Out team, where Project Manager and nicest man alive, Steve Trice, won by a landslide. The following two awards were a much tighter contest with just a few votes in it. Site Coordinator, Laura Penn took top spot for the Build team after deserved recognition of her incredible hard work and attitude. The final award of the evening went to Shannon Atkinson, who just a few months earlier had earned a full time contract with the company after excelling during a 12 month apprenticeship. She's now become an indispensable cog in the office machine.

Congratulations to Steve, Shannon and Laura!

So Jo we just want to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ for all your hard work and commitment over the past decade. The obligatory prestigious gold plated Casio watch is all yours, so here’s to the next 10 years…..

Dynamic Duo Ready To Ride For Charity

Last year, Bespoke Project Manager, Martyn Collier, and his close friend Darren, took part in an audacious cycling trip in the name of charity. Setting off from Bloxwich in Walsall, the pair hit the road, and 136 miles later, reached their destination of Brean in Somerset.

After setting an initial fund raising target of £500, the two were overwhelmed to discover that, through the support of family and friends, they had raised over £3000. The proceeds were donated to St Giles Hospice in Walsall, all in memory of Darren's mom who had recently passed away through cancer.

Due to last years fantastic outcome, Martyn and Darren have decided to do it all again. On the 28th of May, in the company of an extra 6 cyclists, the pair will head off again from Bloxwich to Somerset, via Wales, on an enterprising 170 mile trip.

They have chosen two different charities to support this year - Helping Jack and Walsall Breast Cancer support group. If you would like to sponsor the pair and thereby support these two worthy causes, please click on the links below to donate!

Bespoke's Girls Get Down & Dirty

Congratulations to Nat, Hayley and Sharon AKA The Bosom Buddies, who on Saturday 19th July completed the Pretty Muddy Race For Life in Birmingham.

On a soaking wet day in the West Midlands, the girls pushed through relentless downpours of both rain and mud, up and over various obstacles to complete the course in a stellar 98 minutes.

As you can see from these pictures, fun was had by all on the day with thousands upon thousands of competitors raising money for Cancer Research UK. We'd like to thank everyone who has donated to this great cause over the past few months of which we have since dedicated to Gary Cavanagh, a close friend of Bespoke who recently lost his fight against cancer.

If you didn't get a chance to donate before the race, there's good news - our Just Giving Page is open to donations until 6th September! We have so far raised £910 for Cancer Research but we want to smash the £1000 mark! So, to send your congratulations to the girls for their efforts, please donate!

To check out some more pictures of the event (of which we feature), check out this article from Birmingham Mail.
