Bespoke Construction Services is delighted to announce that works are now complete at Winterbourne Manor Barns.
This previously dilapidated barn and it's outbuildings, which originally date back to as early as the 19th Century, have been subject to a dramatic transformation both externally and internally. The end result of this comprehensive conversion is the birth of four new luxurious residential dwellings.
Externally, the goal of the project was to achieve and uphold a traditional aesthetic finish while fully complying to planning and conservation requirements on this Grade II listed property. Our scope of works included a complete re-build of the roof structure with vital adjustments made to the existing oak beams and frame. All roof tiles were replaced and conservation approved roof lights fitted. Brickwork was carried out using carefully sourced re-claimed material to match existing bricks in situ. Tailored hand-made hardwood windows and doors were installed throughout. This along with all new larch timber cladding were coated in an ebony stain providing a seamless finish across all elevations, while also adding depth and a feeling of warmth to the facade. Not to mention we've even given a helping hand to the local wildlife with a newly installed barn owl home, situated to the rear of the barns.
Internally, while complimenting the external finishes, a more balanced visual aesthetic was applied incorporating both traditional and modern elements, but all designed and fitted to an exceptionally high standard using high specification materials. Our vast works package involved all mechanical & electrical installations including underfloor heating on the ground floor, fitting designer range bathrooms & kitchens, tiling, joinery including hand-made oak staircases with glass balustrading, flooring finishes throughout and final painting/decorating.
We're delighted with the end-result and are proud to present these completion photos showing how we've brought this large and historically-significant property, situated within the picturesque surroundings of West Berkshire, back to the 21st Century.
